    Il-2 Birds of Prey.


    So i guess a question that hasnt been raised in a while is; Why hasn’t the full backwards compatablity library been ported. Specifically one game out of HUNDREDS that are available. That one game is IL-2 Birds of Prey. And to that extent, why port a million games that nobody wants (the plethora of childrens games) and not and i cant stress this enough, THE ONLY FLIGHT SIM ON CONSOLES. There is Ace Combat, but that isnt a simulator. Im telling you, i and many like me will shell out money for the closets thing to WW2 flight simulator on the market. We dont want arcade driving miss daisy, we want to experiece the best we can without having to invest in entirely new hardware (PC peripherals)

    it all depends on the devs/publishers and if they still exist too, the IP owners need to give permission for them to be made backward compat.

    HI,

    In addition to the explanation regarding developers/publishers, it takes a huge amount of time to make 360 games work on the Box One/Series consoles.

    The 360 had totally different hardware architecture. Each game has to be converted/reverse engineered to run on the platform. No simple task.

    BC program is suspended. No details if it will be restarted. Currently the team is working on FPS boost for the Series consoles.
