You can disable the start-up sound in a new update coming.

Perhaps you cheated and got caught.. or maybe your parents have set parental controls and do not allow you to play online with others?

It's microsofts online service they can do whatever they want. This kid knew what he was doing, lied to his parents and got caught. Justice served.

 

I HATE all start up sounds. I hate the one for the Xbox and especially the one for my Samsung TV. The main benefit of that is not wanting to wake up children or spouses during late night gaming sessions. Or for me, I get up a lot earlier than my girlfriend
on Saturdays and Sundays, so I game in the morning. Albeit, I do have a headset that I plug in. But in case I forget, I don't want that chime roaring through our place waking her up. Then imagine you have a newborn and the chime wakes him/her up then the subsequent
screaming wakes your wife up. That chime has effectively ruined everyone's morning.

I will surely be turning this off the moment I am able to.

 

You can turn off the start up sound on both the Xbox and the Samsung TV, if your Samsung tv is like mine there should be an option in the settings to shut off the sound

 

My wife and kids are light sleepers too, but a little beep won't wake them unless I'm in the same room and even then I doubt it. Ain't no way they're hearing this. They haven't yet.

 

It's a weird issue(?) to address, but I'm glad actually. The start-up chime sets my dog on edge & causes him to bark incessantly for some reason.

 

Sounds great. Even my friends stay up well past 11pm usually but they just afk on YouTube or Netflix. I do this sometimes too. But are your parents seriously gonna be pressing a stethoscope against your bedroom wall? If you live in a city which most of us
probably do, they should be use to the noise! It's not much of a noise though, unless you're abnormally sensitive to sound. One of my friends if she gets caught staying up past her bedtime, gets grounded for 2 weeks. But sometimes her parents are lenient.

Surely your well placed punctuation was deliberate, and I wouldn't believe you if you said otherwise lol!

 

The only reason I don't like this is it keeps slightly starling me when I turn it off with my controller and it makes the noise, I always give the console this weird look like whatchu up to, haha.

I wouldn't mind turning it off though, I hate start-up and shutdown noises on anything really, hell I even have a phobia of ringing phones my mobile is always on silent.
