    Hello to all the good people on the planet (Earth).

    I know it might be repetitive question and may have already asked by others, but i couldn't find the specific answer for it so asking it here.

    First of all let me state that i don't have any Xbox subscription, I have always played via CDs but now thinking of changing.

    I have 2 months free XBOX game pass from a friend in codes.

    I then have the offer to get the XBOX Ultimate Subscription 3 months for $1 as I am a new user.

    Here are my questions,

    How should i procced here to be able to redeem my friend's code and get the 3 months offer. Should I first register for three months and then redeem codes? will those codes give me extra 2 months on the top of the 3 months for $1 ? Or use the codes first
    and then get the $1 for three months offer? But with the second option won't I become an existing user if i use the codes and won't be able to get the offer of 3 months for $1?

    Secondly, I have so many CD games installed in my 5TB HardDrive, Will all these games change to Digital and won't require any CD in the future for running? If that happens what if I cancel my subscription, will i still be able to play via inserting the CD
    again or there will be some updates to them that the CD won't work anymore and then i have to re-install and lose all the saves.

    I do understand that in some cases the titles are different and once you installed via digital won't work with CD, but I am talking about already installed games from the CDs.

    Huhhhh i need help understand about this ultimate xbox game pass redeem.

    Maybe you bought a code for 3 month of Xbox Game Pass non Game Pass Ultimate.

    If is this the case, because you have an active Ultimate subscription and you are triyng to redeem an Xbox Game Pass subscription, there is a conversione due to the different cost between this two plans.

    Xbox Gold conversion

    If you are already a Game Pass Ultimate subscriber, then any Gold codes you redeem will be converted to Game Pass Ultimate. If you are not an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate Subscriber, then no, the Gold codes should not convert to Game Pass Ultimate.

    I'm hoping there would be an option to redeem rewards points for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. However, redeeming for gold and game pass will still work. If you've an active ultimate subscription, you will still get some months added to it but it will be less
    than what you redeemed for via gold or game pass.

    I bought a 12 mouth game pass last year on the 1/10/2022 and now Xbox and Microsoft have emailed me saying it runs out today but that would only give me 6 mouth WOT CAN I DO ?

    Please confirm on your account subscription page via https://account.microsoft.com/services if you can see that your subscription is Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.

    If it's Ultimate, that only means that when you buy or redeem Xbox Game Pass for 12 months, it was converted to Ultimate. The conversion rate for 12 months of Game Pass is 5 months of Ultimate. Possible that you still had Ultimate subscription before adding Game Pass.

    Thank you for reaching out to us on the forums, if you redeem the Xbox Live Gold code while your Game Pass Ultimate subscription is still active, then you would not be receiving the full time that is shown on the prepaid card.

    Xbox Game Pass Ultimate FAQ

    "With Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, can I still redeem codes for Xbox Live Gold and Xbox Game Pass?

    Yes, These codes will automatically convert to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate at a ratio based on the ERP (Estimated Retail Price) of those codes. Conversion rates are subject to change"

    If you want to keep the Ultimate subscription then you can redeem your code but just keep in mind that you won't receive the full time shown on the card as it will convert the time according to the price of the Ultimate. If you want to stop using the Ultimate
    subscription then I would advise that you wait for the subscription to expire before you redeem the Xbox Live Gold subscription.
