If you don't like the Kinect, then don't buy an X1...

Well, with the stacks of X1's at all major stores begging for a home and none of the competitions consoles in sight, looks like you guys are getting your wish.

@UnyoBro You aren't forced to do a thing. If X1 is too pricy because of Kinect then don't buy it. Its not like price drops don't happen anyway...

OP if you can't affod it then don't buy it.

I will buy maybe 3 kinect only games in the X1's life cycle yet I will use the Kinect every time I use the X1.

 

I agree, the X1 without kniect is still the best console of all time, but only slightly less so. Could you imagine the ps4 with kinect, i may regard it as "next gen". Xbox one is the one and only true next gen console!

 

I think Sony is still ironing out supply and demand. They did a really quick rollout and continue to release in new countries while Microsoft hasn't released in any new countries since their initial launch. Sales numbers for both are looking pretty good
although PS4 has the lead, but MS needs to work on getting into more markets if they want to stay competitive.

I can assure you that X1 is selling better than both last gen consoles (Ps4 and Wii U). Most stores sell from the back stock, not front stock. You don't see ps4's because no ones buying them, thus stores don't order.

 

I'm with the OP, I'm waiting for the X1 without a kinect (I'll give it until late this year)- if it doesn't happen I'll take my business elsewhere, in the mean time I'm still enjoying the 360.

 

I think it will happen sooner or later. Of course I don't want Microsoft to release a Kinectless Xbox One because devs may stop supporting it as not everyone who owns an Xbox One will have one.

 

For the people saying x1 is selling better than PS4... NPD just came out today for January. PS4 sold twice as much as X1 in the US alone (and the US was one of xbox's two strong countries. It already has been said it's selling 1.5 as many in UK, the other
country xbox has been strong in). And keep in mind in January the PS4 was still hard to find, you could find xbox anywhere.

I wouldn't have even said anything except seeing a few people claiming that x1 is outselling (Especially the poster who decided to call PS4 and Wii U last gen... so I guess one of the last gen console is doing a lot better than your next gen...). Not true
(and PS4 had outsold x1 in the US for launch - end of december. Only in december did x1 do better and PS4 was impossible to find then).

Oh, and your theory that they don't put the PS4s out front because they aren't ordering consoles that aren't selling? They would just stop even offering them, they wouldn't even have a space for them if that were the case. Retail doesn't keep around empty
space for stuff it doesn't sell, they can use that for stuff that does sell. If they are keeping empty space, it means they mean to sell it but just don't have any at the moment (retail does not like having empty spaces on their shelves. It looks bad, bad
marketing, and they could use it for selling other stuff).

I work retail. We one time pulled a very popular product solely cause they couldn't supply us enough and we couldn't really justify the empty space for something we never could get.

You might want to work retail sometime before making crackpot theories.

I use the Kinect on xbox one for fast use when I trun off for dead rising 3 only

 

I do work retail Mr. Sony Fanboy and I'm telling you the truth. We were told only to sell X1's from the back, never on floor stock. Why, because they like the floor stock filled, because it boosts sales. MS is so great at making consoles they provide 10-20x
more consoles than Phony can, this is why the X1 is the best console of all time. We have no pos4s in stock because we stopped ordering them, we don't even have a kiosk because of its lack of use, while the x1 kiosk line is around the corner. You can look
at what ever sales data you get from the sony forums, but the truth is X1 is out selling ps4 hand over fist almost 20-1 last I checked, and thats a fact!
