    If warranty expires before a ticket is resolved why do their systems automatically close...


    For awhile now Microsoft support has had a notice that there's an abnormal volume of requests for controllers at the moment and to please be patient and that it can take over 24 hours to get help. I thought I was being patient by waiting for this notice to go away, it seems persistent for days now. I made a request the day before warranty expires and the day it expired my ticket was closed because the item is out of warranty.

    Turns out you can ask the bot to connect you with a person and i should have done that day one because Id hate to be stuck with this. The stick drifts bad enough that dead zone doesn't help much. I did troubleshooting and hoped canned air would help but that was a waste of money. I'm currently waiting for a response.

    Please be sure to keep your proof of purchase. You will have to contact the Xbox Support team here https://support.xbox.com/contact-us for them to adjust your warranty information. Simply provide them your controller details and proof of purchase.
