If Titanfall is not in 1080P then Xbox One is done

Thats a rational...I was gonna say mature...but that gets blown out of proportion around here and used wrong...so...I'll just say...thats what a smart person outlook is.

I, being the smart person I am...more like common sense, nothing special...feel the same way.

I plan on getting an X1. I bought a PS4 first b/c the lack of support for good 360 exclusives towards the last couple of years really put me off and Sony has too many good exclusives not to make sure you have one. Infamous is too awesome to wait for as
is Killzone.

I want an X1. And I will be buying one...no pun intended...but I could only afford one...no pun intended.

But there are ppl here that have it in their heads that "Sony = evil enemy and MS = awesome dude bro company"....it's actualy quite pathetic to see. I seriously don't understand why anyone would have a vendetta against a company that you CHOOSE to buy a
prodect from unless theres some random special circumstances.

Other than that...I dunno...some of the ppl here are completely dimwitted.

Like I said, if I had the time and the money I'd have the big three... MS consoles, Sony Consoles and a sweet PC. My position and past experiences have lead me to my current choice.

I'm just over the ignorance and bias on both sides.

Yes, I come to the appropriate forum to discuss the Xbox One in a positive way. If there are problems I address them constructively and civilly. I can accept legitimate gripes and well articulated concerns. But when people come with personal agendas solely
to disrupt and discourage others through unsubstantiated opinions, it just ruins my experience.

For me, it's not about defending a corporation or product... It's not even about "defending". I just want to enjoy MY choice, but am being denied that by those with no respect or restraint.

 

How did we end up talking about Killzone? It's a good game, but it's not exactly making people buy PS4s. Is it? I don't look into those things. All I ever hear about the game is that it's more of the same, and not a really big leap in gameplay. Graphics

Apologies you are right, don't know where I got the 1720x900 from. 1600x900 is the correct resolution.

Guerilla themselves said they have Campaign running 1920x1080p at about 30fps, and Multiplayer is running at 960x1080 for some bizarre reason. It then gets upscaled. Digital Foundry found the framerate averaged 50fps, and frequently goes up to 60 and down
to 20. It's ridiculous really.

So let's go purely on numbers as the Sony Ponies like to do:

Titanfall: 1600x900=1,440,000 pixels being displayed at a (largely) solid 60fps.

KZ's Multiplayer: 960x1080=1,036,800 pixels being displayed at a very variable framerate averaging at 50fps.

For funsies, KZ's Campaign is 1920x1080=2,073,600 pixels being displayed at a (largely) solid 30fps.

The numbers, purely off exclusive FPS, don't really look that good for PS and aren't really that flattering for Xbox either. It all comes down to the fun, and I was playing Killzone 10 years ago when it was Xbox exclusive and called Halo.

I cant understand how this game with 6 people and awful graphics cant do 1080p. playing ff14 on the ps4, at least 100 people online at a time on screen and beautiful graphics. all 1080p- how bad is the xbox1

 

Xbox 360 games and ps3 games don't run at native 720p they run lower somewhere between 500p and 720p and are scaled upto 720p, though there are some games that run 1080p on both 360 and ps3.

people don't understand what having 1080p means they are all just fired up buy the console war and 1080p is a stick to beat the x1 with. Having 1080p means having to turn detail levels down a 720p game can have more detail in the world than a 1080p game
just the res is lower, also since both consoles upscale to 1080 then it makes it harder to tell what res its actually in.

Theif for example uses a better texture filter on the x1 than the filter used on ps4 so apparently the x1 version looks better despite its lower res.

Does it really matter? IMO the developers will give us the best, resolution and FPS that they can. What really matters to me is that I enjoy the game and feel like I got my moneys worth. If the game exceeds the Beta, I going to be very happy!

 

I can't wait to play Titanfall....Even if it was a 32bits game.

 

Well the game is not 1080p people have known that for while.but peopole are still pre ordering the game.

cod is not a wow factor and sells really well.so titanfall will be the same

 

Realistically, this game is going to sell. 1080p, 900p, 720p... with this game it's all about the fast paced addictive gameplay. It will sell very well, and it will shift many Xbox Ones. I didn't want to mention it, but there is plenty of concern about the
pS4's line-up, and I guarantee if this was a PS4 release as well, we would not be having this conversation.

 

Titanfall beta was an awsome experience and the full game will be even better. Its all about 60fps anyway.

I can assure you it wont be done but im hoping we can be done with all these bogus silver saddos who have nothing better to do then cry about a product they will probably never buy.
