If the next COD was World at War 2 would you be happy?

Id love a World War 2 COD or game my granddad was a spitfighter pilot my nan was a nurse my grandads brother was on the subs in WW2 and my Mrs grandad was a admirial on a navy battleship i love war films so yes please

Id like a good World War 2 game.... With the next gen consoles i think they would be able to make it different than most world war/vietnam games and give it a little twist. I believe if they did something like this they would grab peoples attention again and get some of the players who stopped playing CoD back into the game.

A World War 2 next-gen game is a no brainer for Activision if they want to revitalize the series (sounds ironic, right?)

I predicted this a few years back and I hope it comes true. A world at war 2 would be AMAZING

Rippen, that's way too many Dooties for me already. I got bored with MW2 and "played" (again very loose term) the Beta of WaW to know it was shovel-ware.



More power to those that can enjoy that stuff though. Too bad too many other Devs are thinking they can get away with same. For those that were not around in the early 80's, Gaming was a very lonely place. It can quickly end up
there again with over-saturation of shovel-ware. But then again, maybe we might need another Industry crash...

 

@EnenDaveyBoy, If CoD went back to the WWII scene and back to it's roots of CoD2, CoD3 and even WaW with big maps and vehicles than i would probably be a day 1 purchaser...something i haven't been since CoD2.

 

Lost mate, I can agree on the modern version the last 3 years or so but totally disagree with WAW being shovelware.

 

WaW was shovelware?

While I agree a bit with Lost's sentiment on shovelware and the industry in general, WaW was a pretty drastic departure from its predecessor (MW). I mean, there were useable tanks in it, dogs, etc. In fact, the entire COD community complaining that WaW
wasn't MW resulted in where we are today - same boring crap year after year.

I have barely played since Black Ops and would welcome a return to WWII. But yes I would hope they change the gameplay a bit as well. Maybe vehicles on some maps, more suppression/something to award more teamwork. If hardcore COD players complain at first
they may be on to something

 

Would love to see a return of some vehicles. A mix of COD3 mp with WAW would be really fun.

 

I want it to be WWII wicked bad. I'm pretty burnt out on Modern and futuristic warfare type stuff.

 

I will not purchase another CoD title unless it runs on dedicated servers.

 

^ I took that stand with AW. I would have bought it if it had that support. WAW although I would like to take the same stance I'm purely interested in the campaign for the most part.

 

I would certainly prefer it to be on dedicated servers, and that means not listening servers, but I also want the removal of lag comp.

Infact I want it to run as smooth as titanfall.

I don't think it needs to be WWII per say, just the WWII era with an invented story line IMO would be a step forward.

To all the people complaining about copy and paste games, there are very few games which haven't been done before, at present most have been done better before. IMO its a shame that popular games stop, I don't understand why they don't truly expand and develop.

IMO I don't play the campaign, its very linear, but the MP is different every game where the opposition play differently and are at different levels, but each to their own.

A very pessimistic attitude, if Activision thought it would increase profits and maintain future sales they would implement it, the issue is what do treyarch have in place to run matches, we aint gunna know until the first set of release info, so never say
never.
