    If the main account on my Xbox is banned will my separated account be affected?


    My roommate attempted to sell his account because he is moving out. We currently share gold and I have a separate account. I am aware he will be banned, but will my account be affected? I recently purchased a few digital games and I'd rather not lose out
    on those. I know I will not be able to use his gold anymore, and I am willing to purchase my own subscription. Thank you for any help!

    (I've gotten different responses from the Xbox ambassador and support person I chatted with)

    So I've had a few issues with messaging on xbox but a couple months ago my account got banned for apparently Ddossing but that is completely false. As I do not know how nor do I have the equipment to Ddoss. I talked to support and they said my best bet would be to try to find an xbox ambassador on here since the enforcement team permanently banned my account and completely ignored what I had to say. What they do not know is they gave me the main reason I got banned and its completely false. So if there is an ambassador on here. Please help.

    I NEED A BAN LIFTED ON MY PARENTS ACCOUNT

    My account (this one) became restricted on buying content when I moved from Xbox 360 to Xbox One a couple of days ago. For these settings to change I need to access my parent account (which is permanently banned) and I need the ban to be lifted to change
    my settings on my main account, If not I won't ever be able to buy in-game content again on my main account.

    Account bans will only affect the account that is banned. Unless you did something on your account to violate the terms, you have nothing to worry about.

    How is it bs?

    You broke the rules & are being punished.

    As mentioned,using a secondary account to avoid a suspension on your main account is against the code of conduct so they now issue console privilege suspensions to prevent you from doing this.

    The other accounts will work on a different device,just not on that xbox until the suspension is over.

    then why did Microsoft send me an email literally six hrs ago stating in BOLD letters that I can still play multiplayer but can't communicate but yet its not letting me on any acct. Is Microsoft a bunch of liars then?
    I'm having the same issue but when they clearly send you an email that says you can in BOLD letters and they don't allow you to that's lying and false information
