    If somebody changed there name could I have the name they used to have? I was wondering if i could had my friends name if he changed his to something else is this allowed? Because i did see a popular youtuber some how get a gamertag that was taken and than
    i think the guy changed it for him. If that didn't happen which i think did how else would i do it

    Also, if an on screen notification comes up, saying "yadda yadda is online" and you don't recognize the name, it could mean somebody changed their gamertag name. That's happened to me before.

    How to change your gametage after you have gotten it back form a hacker

    i think once it has been changed you will have to pay to change it back and HOPE that your old name did not get taken by somebody else. if somebody else has your old name then you will not get it back.

    Yes. If someone changes their gamertag it frees it up to be used by anyone else. Keep in mind that it may not be available immediately.

    Hi Joshua,

    I want to recommend you the Microsoft Rewards program.

    If you frequently collect points you can redeem them for credits. With these credits you can purchase a gamertag change and afterwards if you collect more points you can buy games and add-ons etc.
