I had one before Gidget Gacy though I can't for the life of me remember it. However I wasn't serious about xbox 360 as I was still heavily playing ps2/ngc/dc. It wasn't until I came back to the 360 in 2009? to play COD, tony hawk project 8, gta 4 and oblivion.
I think I changed it as allot of people thought I was female, however I did meet allot of people who got my name during my COD marathons. My new incarnation (now old) is based off taking many midnight flights, ie, redeye express

When I first got my 360 many moons ago, I tried to think of a cool name but alas all my ideas were taken. So with a bit of head scratching I plumped for the name of my wife's horse. Not exciting but it just stuck and most people just shorten it to Pougal
(Poogal).

Had Mad Badger 67 on the og xbox in 2003 & changed it to when I got my 360 & had it ever since.

As said early on in the thread is my original GT but i didnt mention i have changed twice, changed it to Renofshenmue, i was talked into it i tells ya lol, they used my love of shenmue to sway me. I quickly regretted it and couldnt get the
name back at the time, so it went to Rip as a few of my friends use the Rip in front of their tags, soon as my original GT was available again i dropped the Rip part and went back to business as usual. It was over a short period of time but I have
learnt my lesson : )

originally it was bakez80 - bakez (pronounced bakes) as it was my nickname (surname is Baker) and 80 was the number i used when playing ice hockey\ street hockey as a kid. it then changed to HotpocketBakez when playing gears of war 1 as there were 8 of us
hotpockets in our group but then after the gears fizzle out i wanted just plain old Bakez which was already taken so i stuck an i on the front.

Hmmm wonder if just Bakez is available now...

Another thing be glad MS gives you the oppurtunity to change your gamer tag to my knowledge MS is the only company that allows you to make the change.

Be glad that MS even allows you the option to change your gamer tag up until October of last year (and its still in beta) PS didnt even allow you to change your gamer tag and I dont think any other company allows it. Before they started allowing you to
change your gamertag with PS if your gamer tag violated their code of conduct instead of changing it to something different like MS does they would perma ban your account. And with PS unless your one of their PS plus members its gonna cost you 10 dollars also
to change it or 5 for PS plus members maybe MS will see that once PS fully implements their policy and will do something like that for gold members.

the free gamer tag change was only allowed when your gamer tag change was forced. People abused this by reporting gamer tags that people wanted to change so once a force change was made they then changed it again to what they wanted for free. Because
of that abuse of the system all game tag changes now cost even if a force change has happened.

Unfortunately, MS does not allow the use of punctuation in gamer tags. I am pleased that you are fine with me using a latin binomial acronym from the NRCS PLANTS database in my gamer tag.

Gamer tags don't reset. Please Note that Microsoft only allows you to change your gamer tag only once for free. if you want to change your Gamertag it's going to cost $10. gamer
