If MS gave you 10% back on traded-in digital games would you be happy?

I wouldn't give up my license for anything less than %20. In the end that's all we are doing is forfeiting our ability to play the game. They aren't re-selling the game.

I would like to see a Steam-like refund policy put in place long before this is even a thing. We should be able to request refunds for games that are not as advertised or awful within a time limit. I've used it a few times on Steam and it works.

That depends on how you look at it. MS can have you "trade in" a digital game with the expectation that you would then purchase a brand new one. All said and done, they make more money, and you are less inclined to purchase a brand new game than if you had
traded in an old one.

That's why Gamestop buys your games back. You will more than likely buy another game from them when you trade it in.

 

Downloading game from physical copy

Yes. Physical discs can be resold or traded. If it was strictly digital you would not be able to.

 

The only game I have ever bought on Digital is ARK so am not really bothered either way.

Microsoft need to stop trying to change the console world, they are alone with this and it's clear that other game changing routes they have taken have done no favors for their consoles. I realize it's just a survey, it's a survey pointing in the so-called
digital only future. Can they truly see other countries like Japan buying digital only? Do they truly believe that all console owners from around the globe are ever going to have the bandwidth to do this? The last few months of unusual suggestions coming from
ms make me believe that the XB1 is going to be the last ms console. At least it's a good one I suppose.

 

@RedEye Expr3ss, Signs do point to this being M.S. s last "true" console. I don't think they're worried about Japan...I think they only sold one X Box One there, and it was by some inebriated tourist who thought he was buying a V.C.R.. ;-) Personally believe
the route they "seem" to be heading will destroy the brand in the future...but HEY! I've been wrong before. Can only say I won't buy into an all digital future.

Bring on the Digital future! I haven't bought a disc game or Music CD for over 3 years now. I love it. Ive also got really slow internet and I manage quite well to run my Xbox, Sonos music and iTunes movies along with Netflix and Stan. I still think better
options are available then this key buy back though.

 

If the used licence, lets be honest. It's not a non existant digital game that would be resold back to MS at 10% but rather the licence for said game.

But if that licence were sold back to MS at 6 bucks, and resold by MS as 'used' for say 12 bucks, then perhaps it would be a good for some to take advantage of it. But we know it will never go like that. More like MS buying the licence back from you at 10%
and resaling said licence at retail or perhaps 10% off.. Which no matter how you slice it wouldn't be a deal at all.

 

I have so many deleted games that I will never touch again. I sure wish I could get 10% of what I paid for them now.

One piece of advice that I would like to give out in order to help save people money from wasting money on a game is to either burrow their game disc from a friend or play around with the game while at a friends house

The reason that I mentioned this was because I was able to try these games while babysitting my friends kids

It was late and the kids were asleep, my friend wanted to take the Misses out for some personal time together

(1) Dragon Age Inquisition

(2) Batman Arkham Knight

(3) Shadows Of Mordor

(4) Minecraft

............

I didn't enjoy playing Dragon Age Inquistion, Batman Arkham Knight, Shadows Of Mordor, and Minecraft.

I am really glad that I didn't spend $66.00 on them LOL

Also, this is the friend that I burrowed Diablo 3 Ultimate Evil Edition from and is also the person who traded Rise Of The Tomb Raider for Halo 5 Guardians with me. I am so glad that I didn't buy Diablo 3 Ultimate Evil Edition

I am really glad that I was able to get Halo 5 Guardians and got rid of Rise Of The Tomb Raider
