    If i uninstall gta 5 and re-install it will i lose my progress?


    I've been having a weird glitch where it cant find my saved data so i'm wanting to re-download GTA on Xbox 1 will i still have my progress on online? I don't want to lose my CEO company!

    Xbox one games does not update.

    Since the latest beta-test system update, I cannot update Forza 5. Having same issue as Kombatlaw (above). If I uninstall, then re-install, I may lose my game save (correct me if I am wrong).

    Online gaming is saved through the cloud servers so as long as you delete your local saves and download the game again it will be fine

    Uninstalling and re-installing worked for me. I didn't need to shut off the XBox. And I didn't lose any progress I'd made in the game, though it takes hours to install completely.

    WeakliestPine57, you won't lose your progress by uninstalling -- it's saved to your Xbox Live account. I routinely play cross-devices (Surface to PC -- it updates my game progress as soon as it logs me into Xbox Live).

    As far as I can tell, uninstalling & re-installing does not fix the problem. I haven't skipped an MS Mahjong challenge since I started playing early last year, so I hope this doesn't end up ruining my streak.
