If I own Minecraft on Xbox, can i play it on my computer as well?

I have Minecraft on Xbox, so i can play with anyone using Bedrock edition. I also have Java for PC, but my friends are on a bedrock realm.

However, I want to play on the realm on PC, as it's my preferred platform.

So would i be able to access my Xbox account of Minecraft, and use the already purchased version of the game on my PC, or am i being forced to buy this game again just to play on this realm?

You would have to purchase the PC version of the game in order to play it on the PC. Unfortunately Minecraft is not a Play Anywhere title.

Hi,

Minecraft has a Bedrock Edition. On Game Pass, Minecraft game is not included. You need to buy it. Since Bedrock is cross-platform, I was hoping that my kids can download it on their computers as well. So if the edition that Game Pass sells is not the Bedrock Edition, then it makes sense that I am only allowed to play within XBOX. Can you please confirm that if I buy it on Game Pass I won't be able to download and play on both computer and XBOX console?

My kids have been playing minecraft mods on the computer for 2 years. We know own an XBOX ONE and they are wanting to find mods to join in and play.

Anyone know where we can find these?

That is so weird! Luckily I was able to get it to work on my newer computer that runs microsoft and windows 10 in general. My sister also shared a Minecraft account with me but her computer doesn’t run windows 10, hopefully there’s some way to fix it so she can play on her computer as well.
