    I recently bought a computer with Windows 11. Ut came with a free month of Xbox Game Pass. Ive never felt like I needed gamepass, though. However, this opened my eyes to several features.

    I have been playing a lot of Forza Horizon 5 lately on my Xbox console, and wanted to do multiplayer with my brother. Important to note I have the disc, not a digital copy. Im also in college and plan to move out of the house but want to keep the saved xbox data on my PC for specific games.

    I spent a lot of time trying Cloud Gaming today and had a lot of fun with it. I enjoy how it keeps all of my data from my xbox console, but didnt like the low quality that it produced. My computer has hardware that could run the game at a much higher quality and framerate, however, so I want to download the game.

    This leads me to a first question: if I download Forza Horizon 5 onto my computer for free with Xbox Game Pass, if I cancel my subscription (as I said I am in college and $14.99 per month isnt feasible right now) will I still be able to play the game?

    My main question is a followup to the one above: if I cancel my subscription, but the game stays on my PC, does the save data still transfer between my PC and Console?

    Hi, I hope you're doing great out there. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regard to your concern.

    With your first question, if you were able to obtain the game through the game pass, if you cancel the subscription you will also lose access to the games. In this case, it would be best to just purchase the game.

    With your main question, yes, the save will still transfer on both devices since it is an Xbox Play Anywhere game, you just need to be connected to Xbox Live/Internet whenever you're playing the game.

    Ok. I'm going to clarify this as best I can. This is the account that I downloaded the content on (keltboy). I transfered the data across from my old console to the new console. I have also transfered the data recently, and it still says to download it.
    It does not appear in my download history.

    No offense to the people who already answered, but I won't be satisfied until a forum support or a tech support person can solve my problem.

    It depends on the game. If the game is a Xbox Play Anywhere game or it supports cross platform/cross save, the Xbox app will load all game data from the console (which is saved on the cloud) to your PC. This is an automatic process. You don't have to do anything.

    If the game does not support cross platform/cross save or is not a Xbox Play Anywhere game, unfortunately the console saved data will not "transfer" or carry over to the PC since the PC version of the game is different from the console version.
