So I just got a new xbox one x and I got a free month of game pass but I am worried I am wasting my time playing the games on there. I am wondering if I download a game, lets say Elder Scrolls Online, and I make large amounts of progress but then I don't
renew my game pass subscription what happen to the data on there? Is my progress locked on that ESO game because I got it through game pass or will my saved games transfer to the same game if I actually buy it instead of getting it through game pass?

Will game work after gold subscription is cancelled?

If I get a trial subscription to gold and buy a game with a gold subscription discount will the game still work if I then cancel the subscription?

If you purchase a game from the marketplace it's tied to your account and should show download again instead of purchase.

Not at all. You will not lose progress you made on a Game Pass game if you do not renew it. It will be there waiting for you when you pick up the game again. Regardless if its via the Game Pass or purchased on disc or digitally.

Jump Force was removed on the 15th.

You can cancel the subscription at http://account.microsoft.com If you cancel the subscription you will not be able to play any other games you've downloaded through Game Pass unless
you purchase them.

Got the same problem.

I don't have unlimited data so my only solution is delete game pass for now (it downloaded almost 500 gb in less then a week.)

Auto update is turned off but makes no difference, the download will start anyway.

I hope they finally fix this or otherwise i have no choice but to cancel my subscription.

You have access to titles downloaded through Game Pass only as long as you remain a Game Pass subscriber. If you cancel your subscription, your access to the game will end unless you buy the game outright.

If you buy a game that's on Game Pass using the Game Pass discount, that game remains yours forever even if you end your subscription.
