If I delete my Xbox account and can I use the email of that account to make another account

Anyways... I think you'll need a new email. But I don't understand why you'd want to start again, why would you delete your Xbox account, is there any specific issues that us robots can help you with?

If you create a new email address, you should be able to assign that as your alias on your existing account. However, if your email address is a Microsoft one (@hotmail, @live, @outlook) then removing it will completely close down the account and you will
have no access to emails, OneDrive or any other Microsoft service associated with it.

Also the account it says it is on my xbox is an AOL account. I tried to contact them to see if they could make me a temp account. But the obviously deleted the email as it wasnt in use for a while. Basically all i want to do is delete my xbox account from
my email so i can simply make a new xboxlive username

Thank you for such a prompt response. I neglected to say that I did try to delete/change my Xbox live email to add my Hotmail email. This did not work as I have used it on my PC to set up this account and therefore I get an error on the Xbox saying
that the ID I am trying to use is associated with another Xbox ID. Therein lies the issue. How do I delete this account so I can use the email attached to it on my Xbox account? Also I can't delete the Xbox live account as I went "gold" with that account.
Can "Gold" status be transferred to the account? If it can then that may be a solution to this issue.

Someone set up my account with their email, and for something I had to make my own xbox account with my own email, so how can I use my email on the first account?

I don't want to delete the gmail email itself on the account that will be deleted, so what should I do?

Both accounts are technically mine, and the person who set it up for me does not use Xbox services. Their email is only going to no longer be affiliated with the first account, the one I wish to keep.

What do I do?

As far as i am aware (someone can correct me if I am wrong) once you delete the account you wouldn't be able to use the same email again to create a new account.

Also the xbox account and email are essentially one and the same so since the first account was created with someone elses email the xbox account technically belongs to them. At least thats how support would typically see it.
