The disc is just a medium to get your game installed on your console. If you have installed a game from disc and then purchased the digital version you will no longer require the disc and the console will not look for the disc when you start the game anymore
even if it is inserted.

For example a friend comes around with a game and installs it on your console (along with any patches from Xbox Live) from their disc. When they leave - taking their disc with them - you then decide you like this game too and buy it from the Xbox Store on
your console.

The game you have already installed changes from requiring the disc to prove ownership to a digital ownership, there is no download required because your game is already installed and updated.

No Xbox One games run fully off discs anyway. Every game has to be fully installed and the disc is just read for a few seconds to prove ownership.

Hi I recently got Forza horizon 4 on the Xbox game pass. When my month expired I deleted the game. If I get Forza horizon 4 on disk, will my progress from the digital copy I got with the Xbox game pass transfer to the disk copy?

Not really a lot of information provided.... But if you have a digital copy.... And game is not starting to load then I would delete game off of my xbox and redownload it again.. Then check for updates before I tried launching game again.

You do not delete any games to use them digitally with Game Pass. I have two Xbox's that I use and I have never needed to delete a physical game from my HDD in order to play it on gamepass. I am unsure of your second question because I know download
sizes are different for MW depending on if you have a disk or a digital copy.

When you upgraded did you upgrade from a disk copy or digital ? And yes it makes a differwnce

If you only had the disk copy then no the 30 dollar upgrade doesnt apply to you

As per Activision terms it only applies to digital copies

Which is why it charged you 100 for both the digital base and upgrade and yes it does not apply to disk copies

Now if you had a digital copy and did it from xbox store rather then in-game store then it doesn't apply as you need to do it from within the digital game
