If I buy a game from the UK will it work in US Xbox one ?

There are versions of a game that are not avalabe in the United States. Like Just Cause 3 Gold Edition. If the game is from the UK would I be able to download the content and play the game in the United States?

Power Supply Issue

I just moved from the US to UK with my US Xbox one. I know there is a difference in voltage, so instead of buying an adapter, is it possible to buy a power supply from here? Will a uk power supply work on a us console?

Using a US Xbox One S in the UK

i've just ordered a US Xbox One S in Storm Grey from the US.

I won't have any problems with the power supply as the new internal power supply is switchable (110 - 240v) but was wondering if anyone knows if I'll have any problems using the Xbox One S in the UK with a UK profile. Will I be able to buy from the UK store
without problem with it being a US console? It'll also come with a US download code for Battlefield One, anyone know if this will work with a UK profile? Thanks

All Xbox One games and all Xbox One consoles are region-free (except for China).

So yes, in your case, an Xbox One game sold in the UK can work in your US Xbox One.

I would imagine JC3 Gold Edition is just the regular base game on a disc, bundled with DLC vouchers in the case.

SO basically because it's a content download, they reserve the right to prevent you using previously purchased content, even though the EU always has compatability with games since the region is the same? IE if you buy a Sims disc from Germany and a expansion
in UK, they work together - unlike if you bought one from USA and one from UK.

Point being my xbox is from the UK - the game was bought in the UK so my licence is valid and microsoft cannot legally prevent me playing the game just because I moved!

The Xbox One S has a internal 'Multi-voltage power supply. So yes, if you buy from the U.S and bring it to the UK it will work just fine. You will need either a UK power cord or a US to UK plug adaptor to connect it to the mains here though - which is
a just a minor quibble. All games on the console are region free. You could buy the older model Xbox One, but, that one would require a UK power brick to function in the UK, so if you must buy one there, buy the newer S version.

If you buy UK Games they won't work in your US Console. Our games uses PAL on our PAL Consoles. If you want to play Uk Games then you will have to buy a Xbox 360 in the UK.

Hey PurpleCorn!

Xbox one games are not region locked so all xbox one games will work on any console. The Xbox One's Bluray/DVD player is region locked though. Good news for you, the UK and Australia share the same region codes for Bluray's and DVD's so anything you buy
from the UK or Australia will work on a console purchased in either country so it's up to you where you want to buy it from!
