    If I buy a digital Xbox 360 game, will it work on my Xbox One?


    Hi, I was looking for games from the older generation and I wanted to revive some as Portal 2 and The Orange Box. Those games are compatible and playable in the Xbox One, but I can't buy and download from the Microsoft Store, it tells me to buy online
    via Xbox.com or Xbox Store. But I'm concerned if will it work if I buy there. Thanks for the help.

    I have the payment option on my console which is the xbox one, i dont have a 360. I was just hoping to buy a 360 game online so i could play it on my xbox one.

    I have found this but Amazon does not write that in their description, they write the opposite

    But what I found on another website was this

    Q. When I upgrade from digital download for Xbox 360 to digital download for Xbox One, will my digital Xbox 360 game license be deactivated?

    A. No, Xbox 360 game license will not be deactivated. Both game licenses will be retained.

    This essentially means that should you buy the license, you will be buying the game for both consoles simultaneously. Sweet idea?

    I'm having the same problem! I even delete everything and try redownloading and it gives me the error code! I had the problem last month got it working and then it did it again am stuck trying to get my profile downloaded again. I wanted to play my 360 games because they are on disc. And my Xbox one is all digital so I don't think I can play my 360 games on my Xbox one! And I don't have the money to buy/ replace my 360 games on my Xbox one digital!
