If I buy a boxed game abroad, what language will it play in?

Hi. I'm a Polish guy living in the UK. Normally I play all my games in English, as a) it's my region's locale, b) I believe that original versions of games will always be better than translations (learnt it the hard way). However, I would like to make an
exception for The Witcher 3 since it's an originally Polish game. I considered buying a boxed version in Poland but I am not sure if this will work. Will I be able to play the game in the UK? But more importantly, will the game stay in Polish or will it default
to my console's language which is English?

I'm English living in France. Although my MS account region is France, I've setup my Xbox One to be English language and region UK (because I can't choose France as a region when the language is English - thanks a lot Microsoft). The big question is what
support is there in games for multiple languages ? This information is NEVER shown on the packaging of an in-store game disk. The best you get in France is "jeu en français" (game in french), but that doesn't mean the disk doesn't
also have the english language version on it. If you see what I mean. Trouble is, I can't tell by reading the packaging and 70€ is an expensive experiment.

If I buy and download a game from the French online Market Place will I be able to play it in English (after switching my Xbox One language & region back to English) ? AC4 especially. If I buy a game in a french store, will the disk load in English ?

Many thanks for help. Would love to buy and download stuff locally, but will only do so if I can actually play in English.

hope this will be fixed with the new fw update.

We the 360 you can choose a console language and a system locale, with xbox one, if you choose english as language you get only english speaking countries.

It is a real problem if you live abroad, as you can't use the services due to country restrictions.

I think its best to buy the game in the UK, because there is an Polish Language add on for the game so you're able to change the language setting in game.

I believe the Video Format Standard is different UK's is PAL and Poland's is SECAM.

I still wonder what would happen with a different game, though.

(Poland is actually in the PAL DVD region, the analogue TV switched to PAL in 1993-94, according to Wikipedia. Which I think is completely irrelevant to Xbox One, anyway, I don't think it uses these DVD regions any more, but I wouldn't be myself if I didn't
look it up.)
