IE on XB1

I use it daily sitting in my comfy easy chair and drinking my morning coffee. Does anyone else use it? I'm using it right now as a matter of fact. I do realize it's got limited funcionality but I like reading news and things like that on my 60 inch TV.

However it sometimes just quits working and closes and goes to the XB1 home. It also somtimes will just go to a page that I didn't even click on when I click a link. It's got alot of glitches . What do you guys think about it?

I can't watch it with the IE app on my XB1!

 

I don't have a PC....

So yeah,i only use it on my Xbox one and i'm fine with it.(that doesn't means there aren't issues).

 

I don't use it on my console.

 

i don't use IE in any form, unless i have to use it for work, some equipment will only let you log into it with IE.

i also always have my tablet nearby and just use it for web surfing and whatnot.

 

I like IE I use it. I do get some bug. But the strange think is I never had a problem on my PC with it. So I think they didn't code it right for the Xbox.

 

I use it back and forth between it and Mozilla Firefox on my PC. I think it works just fine for the most part (it's world's better than the 360 version), but it does still have issues. I haven't personally experienced any of the issues that you're having,
but I find that the voice commands when you use the "browse to" function are not as good as the Xbox One UI itself (for example, with Bing search, the phrase I say comes up perfectly every time, but with the IE app, "Xbox browse to Xbox" can take me to Nascar's
website for some odd reason - for this reason I don't use the voice commands with the app very often. Also, although many sites are doing away with flash, many still use it, so it's upsetting to see that the app doesn't support it. Furthermore, although I
can watch videos on various website like on YouTube, they're at a lower resolution than they would be on my PC. I think that's probably because of the Xbox One and my connection speed and all of the information it's sending rather than the app though. I also
hate how there's no real way to organize your favorites list easily.

I hope it gets updated for video playback I agree that most videos don't look all that great especialy on a big screen TV.

 

I use it for bing searches, thats all its good for.

 

Yup force closes every five mins for me,complete garbage and no ones interested in fixing it,i remember my 360,where stufff worked,giving very serious thought for selling it for a huge loss and gettting a ps4,disgusted in microsoft.

 

Hey,when you open it are you supposed to get a bing homepage,sometimes i do sometimes i dont,completely randomly

 

No, not on the console, I have tried it but it's not very good, I prefer using my laptop for internet searches.

 

I prefer using IE on my laptop, not my Xbox 360 slim, nor my Xbox 1 console. I have IE11 on my laptop.

 

I'll use it every now and then.
