Identifying Xbox One Elite 1TB SSHD console? How to?

Is anyone able to advise on how to positively identify a Microsoft Xbox One Elite console? This is the console that has an internal 1TB SSHD and included the Elite controller with it.

I have one here that is supposedly such, but I'm curious how to confirm that it's not just a standard 1TB Xbox One with a seperate Elite controller?

    :)

    Prices is right for Scorpio.

I mean SSHD... not an SSD

Identifying Xbox One Elite 1TB SSHD console? How to?

Start it up. If it doesn't boot to the main dashboard menu screen with 20 seconds, it's running off an HDD. SSD's start up your PC/hardware way quicker than HDD.

Microsoft does not manufacture SSHD Xbox One consoles. What you are seeing is 3rd party companies doing this. And according to Microsoft, anyone including 3rd party companies, who modify an Xbox One console without authorization from Microsoft, is against
the Terms of Service. You run the risk of an Account ban too. Microsoft is strict and implements various security methods to screen out modified unauthorized consoles from connecting to the XBL service. Not to mention it won't have a standing warranty supported
    by Microsoft.

Why not get an Xbox One X? It has better specs than the PS4 Pro, and it can boot up to the main menu screen in only 40 seconds. It's also smaller than the Xbox One S. Xbox One consoles come with like 8GB or so of flash drive which has similar benefits of
    an SSD.

My high end custom desktop PC has a 1TB Samsung SSD for primary storage which is backed by a Samsung 5 year manufacturer warranty, as well as a secondary 240GB Kingston Hyper FuryX SSD which is backed by a Kingston 10 year manufacturer warranty. These SSD's
can boot up a PC in 5 seconds compared with 5400RPM and 7200RPM HDD's which take 2-4 minutes to boot up and load everything on the desktop.

Another way to identify is to physically open up the console yourself.

The Elite controller has received a lot of complaints regarding it's durability, only lasting 2 months on average before the rubber grips come off the toggle sticks or the toggle sticks lose their accuracy. The normal wireless controllers don't seem to have
this problem and tend to last longer and are half the price of an elite controller.

Thanks for the reply, from the length you took a bit of time with it. However it in no way actually addresses my question in how to positively identify an Xbox One Elite console with the 1TB SSHD. Yes, the start up boot time should be reduced, but that as
a method doesn't provide a level of certainty. Methods such as matching the model number on the back, serial number verification or opening it up to actually eyeball the internal hard drive would.

You are incorrect Microsoft did produce the Xbox One Elite consoles with the 1TB SSHD. They are not a modified console or aftermarket 3rd part company product. They were produced during the original Xbox One period, prior to the Xbox One S period, but after
the Elite Controller was released and the Kinect was no longer being included with new consoles. I'll let you Google search it yourself, but here's a few links to get you started.

Googled it and found this on amazons website I know exactly what you are talking about the xbox one elite they had out it was with a hybrid 1 TB SSD

How exactly to determine if the console without signing into your account on the console and then going to account.live.com and going to devices and seeing what it says there I really dont know the answer to that.

Tried that and doesn't seem to provide any details on the console.

It distinguishes between an Xbox One and Xbox One S, but no mention of Elite of hard drive capacities. (the S is a 2TB and the One should be an Elite).

The model number code (1540) on the consoles sticker is the same as every other Xbox One which is what makes me suspicious. I cannot however find any details on what the Elite model code should be - perhaps its the same just with a different hard drive internally?

I thought perhaps I would message a few sellers on Gumtree and eBay and ask for them to confirm the model number of the Elite consoles that they are selling?

Yeah the only other thing that you might be able to do is contact xbox support and they may be able to see in their system if it is an elite xbox one or not with the serial number you can contact them by going to support.xbox.com/contact-us

Honestly I think the only thing different really between them was the 1 TB Hybrid HDD

Thanks, I'll see how I go with contacting support and if they can verify.

I messaged a few sellers on eBay and Gumtree that listed XB1 Elite 1TB consoles and they all advised the Model of the console was 1540 the same as what I have here. Also the same as a standard non-SSHD console.

I'm certain that that is the only difference with the console. I'm just wanting to double check if I got what I actually purchased. I only recently purchased this Xbox One Elite from EB Games, as a used console (complete with the Elite controller), to replace
my Xbox One S 2TB. The reason being that I purchased a Kinect unit with the intention of using and then found out that the XB1 S 2TB doesn't have the Kinect connection. I tried finding an adapter but the only options were third party knock off units which
were more expensive that Microsoft used to sell the genuine item, or if I found a genuine one it was priced at almost the same price as I paid for this Elite console! Once the Seagate Game Drive arrives I will move my content over from the XB1 S 2TB onto the
XB1 Elite 1TB and then sell that off.
