ID My Xbox 360

I bought a white Xbox 360 from a flea market (Probably not a good idea) but it was cheap. Anyways, the guy that sold it to me said it was an Xbox 360 Arcade. I can't seem to find anything online about it. It looks like the picture I attached but it didn't
come with the hard drive enclosure at the top of the system.

So essentially have the system and power brick and controller. The other issue I am having is the DVD Rom Drive sticks to the point where I need to use a butter knife to get the drive open. I am not a happy guy right now as I feel as though I was *** here.
It did come with 25 games and a controller as well.

Not sure if Microsoft can fix the sticking drive door.

Since it didn't have a hard drive, it could be an arcade model or he just didn't sell the hard drive with it. Either way it's one of the older models.

Microsoft could probably fix the door, but since the console would be out of warranty you would have to pay for the repair.

 

I'm not even sure if Microsoft still services the old phat consoles.

Arcades have some distinctions. Some don't have HDMI ports, some don't have the chrome finish on the disc drive, and all cannot play Xbox original games, as their version of the Xbox Dashboard, doesn't write the emulator partition to the hard drive file
system.

So, if you really want to know if it's an arcade, throw an original Xbox game in there, preferably ones that don't require an HDD, such as Halo: CE.

 

ALL 360s can play the old games as long as it has the MS brand hard drives, software can always be updated when it is connected online. and ALL old games require a hard drive to play not just Halo CE.

 

Irixion, I don't know where you get your information but davemcfly85 is correct. ALL 360's can play Xbox original games if they have an official Xbox hard drive. Also, ALL Xbox original games REQUIRE an official Microsoft hard drive. The original Halo
CE (Xbox original) needs a hard drive. Halo CE Anniversary was developed for the 360 so it is technically not an Xbox original game and does not need an official hard drive.
