I sometimes enjoy delving into my xbrt's and creating montages. I was wondering if in the near future there would be a feature for adding sound or music while editing- perhaps from a music file on the hard drive, or from a thumb drive? I'm sure the community
would enjoy that, too.

PS. The available skins are nice, and add some character or subtle flare for clips- any others on the horizon?

More features on upload studio

On upload studio I think there is not enough features the software is too basic we need new features added to it e.g stickers, transitions, add text, an an option to make an intro, put more than 5 clips together simple things like that which would make a
major difference and I think the game dvr time limit should be increased to 20 minutes please add these features in the next update

Customizing a False feature?

So, from Upload Studio featuring the option to add music to clips I've created to customized characters in games such as WWE 2K16, Xbox Support has informed me that it's not an option. Huh?

Apps, such as Upload Studio, & games, such as WWE 2K16, feature customizing options that require files from the Xbox One console Hard Drive. I've been trying for hours to figure a way to add MP3s/music & pictures to my Xbox One to use in varying customizer
options. Finally, I contacted support on the matter. Support tells me that 3rd party/non xbox approved content cannot be added to the console hard drive. An external storage device only allows me to view/play files as it defaults to the Media Player app
when I attempt to access the files. REALLY?!!! So I can't even use the Upload Studio app designed for Xbox One because it requires files which I can't add to my hard drive? That's progression. Increase price, decrease ease of use.

you want to do that, you are better off getting an external capture device.. I honestly do not think MS will do that for copyright purposes.... and I am sure you can record via mic/kinect in upload Studio but the same replies... I am sure it says somewhere
in the TOS that only upload your own material and do not use copyrighted material

Hi there ArticFox,

Thanks for reaching out here in Xbox Forums. I understand there is an issue with creating clips with music in Upload Studio. The app can only add a voiceover to individual clips or your entire video.

Thanks for reaching out to us today. Game clips on Xbox are recorded, edited, and shared from the Game DVR feature associated to the Upload Studio app. The Upload Studio app is the only way to upload and share clips that you recorded from Xbox or Xbox on
Windows 10.

As of right now, I don't think there is a way to convert or transfer your recorded files that are captured using your internal graphics card. All clips are captured using the Game DVR feature and then edited and shared from Upload Studio.

Look over our
Game DVR and Upload Studio on Xbox One article online that goes over how to record and share clips on Xbox.

So I pretty much said xbox record that for all my awesome and some non awesome stuff. When into upload studio and trimmed each clip to get rid of the boring stuff. Uploaded them all to skydrive and then used arcsoft showbiz 5 to put all the clips together
and music over top of it.

Hey there Andy,

I'd be happy to provide some input.

Just to make sure, I would suggest you launch the Upload Studio app to confirm those clips were successfully uploaded to Xbox Live. This article

here explains how to do that.

This link will also help:

You'll be able to see the clips you made on the old Xbox that were uploaded to Xbox Live since you are using the same account that made the clips originally.

Once you confirm that the clips in question have been uploaded to Xbox Live, then it may be due to the clips not synchronizing to the app as you mentioned.

A
powercycle on the console may help to re-sync your Xbox, and the clips that are on the Xbox, to the Xbox Live Servers.
