I wouldn't recommend Xbox in the future

Thanks for your response. Fortunately, I tried something that someone else recommended. I just let the battery charge completely drain until the controller's Xbox logo wouldn't even flash if I held it down. Then, I just charged it the same way I was and... it worked! Seems like everything is working like it should. If anything happens in the future, I will probably try to get a replacement under warranty like you recommended.

Sorry to hear it. Unfortunately once the device dies there is nothing you can do to get the saves back. I would recommend formatting the drive on your pc (it's not dead or the pc wouldn't read it) to prevent this in the future.

Also, seeing as your gamertag is Gold you should set up the Cloud for your game saves to prevent loss in the future as well.

If you're not a big Halo fan, I would NOT recommend buying the LE. It comes with access to all of the future map packs coming out for the game, and it's a waste of money if you're not even going to be playing the game that for that long.

However, it's ultimately up to you. If this game is looking promising to you and your interests, go for it. I wouldn't recommend spending an extra $30 just because the box looks cool, however.
