I was going to buy watch dogs either today or tomorrow as i'm in town, but I thought i'd check what the price is online and it's nearly £10 more expensive does anyone know why? I would have thought that being digital would be cheaper as there are much fewer
production costs. But as it is I can afford the bus fair in and buy the hardcopy from GAME (other retailers are available). And xbox wanted to go digital only pfft.

Maybe but honestly it's not going to cost as much as a disc,box, distribution etc. And by learned I mean very few people will make the switch to digital d/l unless they bring the price down. Why would I download a game for more when I can buy from a retailer
for less, keep someone in a job, keep my high street alive and have the ability to trade it in for cold hard cash at a later date?

I've always said this generation I want to go digital, but I'm not willing to pay more. Microsoft have announced that "in the following months" after June we can expect 50-75 percent discounts, but that will most likely be indie
titles. Also in June, Ryse: Son of Rome and Forza 5 will get a discount, but no mention of how much. I think one of the reasons digital games are more expensive on XBL is because Microsoft may not want to undercut GAME (and all the other retailers) because
Microsoft needs them to sell Xbox hardware and software?

The point of Xbox Live is to provide us with a gaming network of top quality network servers around the globe that we can play and chat. You cannot expect Microsoft to pay for all of this infrastructure at no cost. Your contribution to Xbox Live ensures
a high quality of these services. If it was free then I don't think they would bother keeping some of these services alive and working as it is not profitable.
