I would like to preorder Digital Games

Would still want this as a feature.

 

pre ordering digital.... there is no need for it.... MS has already stated that game specific bonuses will be given to digital downloads if you download the game within the first week of release... I got my bonuses for Ryse and Forza.. even though it took
3 weeks to show up.... now retailer specific... like maps and dog tags... well.. those are retail specific... and unless they open up digital download codes from 3rd party sellers (Gamestop, Bestbuy etc)... you can forget about getting those items...

 

hell, 3 weeks? I got random LIVE messages with my codes about 2 months later lol

 

It's more of a convenience then a need.

 

I think there should be an option to pre-order digital versions, I don't buy them, but I can see the need, can you get access to DLC and Betas like the Destiny deals without buying disc versions ?

 

Most likely will allow you to pre load a few days before release if this feature actually gets added. Hopefully this is something we will get to test in the next preview update maybe for when Watch Dogs releases. As of right now I don't really mind setting
my alarm for 3am to get up and download.

 

I want this so much, seems like i am missing out esp with beta access to games like destiny

 

yanno.. I wanted the pre load for Titanfall... or a mid night release on digital... but I work.. all games seem to be released on a weeknight (Tues AM Midnight)... either or... not worth it for me...

 

Right and that's half the point though. Alot of us do work and like digital copies. I only want to be able to have the game qued up so the down load starts when the game is released. For me, that would just mean that when I get home from work the day the
games been released, it'll be on my x1 waiting to be played and gaming life would be good.

 

Would love to be able to preload the game, really hope it's coming sooner than later.

 

I know its possible OP, I just preordered Last of Us on the PS4 and since the latest 1.7 update it will now download in the background DAYS prior to launch and have a timer when you can actually play this....the X1 needs this NOW...very cool indeed.

 

I agree, the Xbox One should have this feature, otherwise I wouldn't have created a whole other thread on the topic.

 

In certain instances it would nice, if a beta code or what not is emailed to the individual. I rarely pre-order..... DD will be available unlimitedly......

 

Free stuff is another unfortunate loss for being forced to go digital only.

 

@Burst, other than a beta code or a "free" MP map, the pre sell incentives are weak and not a selling feature for myself....
