I would like to preorder Digital Games

I can understand ones excitement of receiving a new game, but is this not bordering on almost wetting your pants impatience, obviously it varies on locale and internet speeds but surely people can wait 5 or 10 mins can't they?

or is it just me?

Can I Preorder an Xbox One Digital Download?

My intention is to buy Call of Duty: Ghosts for the Xbox One. They announced a preorder bonus, and I would like to preorder the game.

However, all the preorder pages take me to physical stores, and my intention is to buy the game as a digital download.

Is there a place where I can preorder a digital copy of an Xbox One game?

Is there some other way I can still get the preorder bonus, while purchasing a digital copy?

 

Improvements to Buying Games

I would def. buy digital BUT games like Ghost offer a free map if you preorder the physical copy. That right there stops me from buying digital for that game.

 

Pre Downloads would be really nice since these games are so big.

 

@nowaysis - if it was 5-10 minutes then none of us would care about when we can order digital copy. The reality for most of us is 4-6 hours of download time. (I get about 8Mbps broadband download speed - which is pretty common in the UK - no BT Infinity
in the area yet).

I've mentioned this months ago - I'm amazed MS didn't include something in the latest update that allowed us to pre-purchase a digital game so that we could either download it before release or get the X1 to automatically start downloading at midnight rather
than us having to stay up late on a work-night. Disappointed

 

There is no point saying it here, I posted to the support section but I think everybody agrees, pre loading of digital content would be fantastic, and a nice discount is also nice. Remember tho you can share your digital content with family members set
up on your xbox, with sharing the disk. Thats worth a few quid extra.

 

Maybe it's just me, but the OP's post sort of resembled a ransom note. lol.

Pre-ordering digital games would be cool, but it brings me back to my original thought.... when I order a game online via this very website, I wish the game would start downloading right away. I have the console in low-power state, but it won't start downloading
until I get home, turn the console "on", and sign in to my account.

 

@satsumo gutted about that speed, i am lucky enough to be on virgin and they doing a free upgrade in June to 120Mbps from 60 which I am currently on.

 

Its not the speed of dl'ing for me ... Its just a convenience thing.

I would love to just get home from work tomorrow, hug my wife, kiss my kids, then assume total and complete control of the entertainment room and play TF.

To do that, since staying awake until the dl is available isn't in the cards for me, I need to add purchase and start tf dl to an already tight morning schedule. Its just inconvenient.

i know this is totally a first world problem situation. But it would just be oh so nice to preorder from the X1 ... And maybe even control those dl's from a smartphone

 

I know, they might run out of digital copies.....

 

Imagine if you could preorder a game like titanfall the 250.00 one and they ship you the titanfall replica to your house lol...

@bazra89 I will look for the thread in the beta section. Last time I checked there was not much conversation about it.

 

DD also get shalfted out of some of "good" free stuff, you can't pre order destiny, so you can't get in the beta.

Certainly would be a nice addition, thumbs up from me (again, since there are other threads about it)
