I Would Like More PC Level Access in Xbox Series X Games.

Also, You stated something that caught my attention with the game developer notion. I myself don't need articles to know what I like and/ or dislike, but maybe you do, but that's a different story.

Why act so surprised that game developers find personal computers more enjoyable, I don't get it?

That has to be the dumbest thought experiment I've ever heard. Someone that sits at a computer writing code on a developer level has to love their work, think they can just go home and play with a console to feed that itch? its ok bringing up the steam charts but only a small percentage of pc players globally actually use steam. don't forget there is over 1.6 billion pc gamers worldwide, that eclipses the 780 million on all consoles combined. only mobile has a bigger playerbase currently, also pc is the most important platform for devs that is from a survey of 3000 devs.

the series x looks good on paper but is in fact trash and is only just catching up. it can barely do some games at 120fps and struggles at that. and 120fps, thats a drop in the ocean these days.

I understand your point of view. I believe the same way.
But, here's the problem: Different games need different system requirements. Performance is the most

important thing. If the game is exactly the same in both devices, performance may be slower in Xbox. And, also it's difficult for developpers to recreate exactly same codes, etc... for both devices.

That analogy simply doesn't work with the Xbox Series X at this current moment in time. The performance is not minimal, in fact the Xbox Series X has more power than 70% of all users on steam charts. Also, PC stands for Personal Computer. Just because it's a PC doesn't make it automatically better. A ton of people game on outdated laptops at low resolutions. Every PC is just that, personal.

The issue at hand is game companies are not harnessing the power of the consoles. 120 FPS at 2560 x 1440 is a joke for this hardware even at high settings. My PC with a weaker CPU and GPU can get to that (depends on title). The issue is companies have been using adaptive resolution on consoles for so long, no one knows how to properly optimize video games for the new hardware. So they keep doing the same old thing, being lazy.

I'm mixed on PC gaming to be honest. I like how open it is, but then again I hate the 3rd party exploits. Not just the people using aimbots, esp radar hacks, but the people using mouse scripts to combat recoil. Once you start to dig into PC gaming at its core, it's mostly just people buying keycaps for keyboards and saying it's gaming.

There's pros and cons to each depending on the person you ask. I'm asking why can't Microsoft change it? Nothing is set into stone for console gaming.

I think the free to play title Warframe has the closest PC graphical menu on console that I know of, I think something like 15 graphical settings the user can change.

It's not like console games can't have these settings, if people want them, Microsoft will add them, you just have to ask.

but console is a locked down cheapo pc, it is upto the devs what is available and as you are on console they choose for you. you want a decent experience and the freedom to do what you want then pc is the way.
