Ahhh the old demo before they made the switch and even changed the SMG sound too.

They had to change it due to the storyline I think

Even the beginning when he jumps out of the ship by himself and not the covenant bomb

They were going to but this was just a tech demo, and if you went off the script that they showed it would crash.

There was other cut content from Halo 2 that 343 and Microsoft should had like the mission(s) you play as Thel 'Vadamee while he was still an Elite General before he became the Arbiter these were cut because of time restraints but are mostly coded (if I
remember correctly) and the duel Energy Swords; many think this was/is fake but it was actually slated for development in Halo 2 and even received an animation but never made it for some reason and because it didnt make it Bungie never added it in later games.

Deathwish, he means he wishes it was more like Halo's split screen. Since Halo 2 (2004 release wasn't it?), you've been able to play everything in 4 player.
