I wish Microsoft wouldn't block any Japanese developed games on the platform.

I'm sure Microsoft wouldn't mind it, but it's up to developers which platforms they build games for.

Unless a game is locked behind an exclusive clause to release to a rival console, the main reason many Japanese developed games aren't released on the Xbox Platform is due to lack of sales interest in international regions.

Historically, Japanese gamers have always been far more loyal to Japanese console manufacturers than U.S ones. Sony and Nintendo are very popular in Japan, whereas Microsoft's Xbox consoles have always sold rather poorly there.

Ultimately it is entirely up to the publisher of the software whether these games are released on the Xbox platform. Microsoft has no say in the matter.

So to sum up LK cites DS3 as a mainstream example of a game from a Japanese Dev that's not supported well on the One and will lead to these developers fleeing from this platform in droves, so his solution is more games need to be on the platform that are

It's a two way street, yes Xbox exclusives should come to Japan, but Japanese developers need to stop favoring PS4 and Nintendo and start developing all their games for Xbox as well. There is a huge market for them and there are a ton of people on Xbox
including myself who want them just as much as anyone on any other platform. I'm hoping Xbox can buy some Japanese devs and make their IPs exclusive. If the Japanese can go around buying studios in America then they have no business getting uppity when an
American companies attempt to do so.

That's not how it works with games publishing. Microsoft have no power over publishers to release their games to the Xbox Platform if they don't want to.

This is largely due to the fact that these types of games are far more popular with Japanese console players than North American and European users. NIS America is a branch of Nippon Ichi Software, Inc who are a Japanese developer and publisher.

They release their games to the PS4 and Switch consoles because these are the machines that most Japanese players purchase. Historically, Japanese consumers have always been more loyal to consoles made by Japanese manufacturers.

None of the Forza games will come to PS4 as they are exclusive Xbox games. The same way Gran Turismo is exclusive to PlayStation.
