I will no longer be supporting Xbox or Xbox Live

A year ago, I had the misfortune to have my Xbox One have the E200 000000EF 00000000. This error pops up immediately come once I turned my console on. No getting to the Home/Launch screen. I have contacted Customer Service, I have browsed the forums,
emailed, chatted,and been on the phone. I keep being told that I just need to do an offline update. Even when I told them I can't, they said that they can't fix it. So, I've been stuck with a dead Xbox One for a year. I let my Xbox Live membership lapse
despite all the emails asking me to renew it.

Today, I tried again to ask for help regarding this issue. With a brand new computer with Windows 10 installed, I tried to do the offline update. Nothing. So my first chat with support got disconnected after I told them my name. My second chat went a
little longer but the representative had an attitude. Kept trying to make me look like a liar. Saying that she sees activity on my Xbox Live membership on Dec 2016 playing Star Wars Battlefront.

Now, let me backup because this is going to sound real ****. My brother used to play Star Wars Battlefront. He was the one that even purchased the game. He was the one who first pointed out to me that our Xbox was no longer working. He was sick and playing
this game helped him feel better. He also passed away in November 2016. So, tell me how my dead brother was able to play his favourite game on my broken Xbox in December 2016?

But this is exactly what I mean by the representative would rather try to prove me wrong instead of actually helping me. And then she says that my warranty expired and if I wanted to fix my console, it would be $135.

Well I told her about how they should have fixed it before my warranty expired and she says I have no history of you ever contacting us before about this issue. I am sorry I didn't write down all my ticket numbers from my previous attempts to get a hold
of someone to fix my problem. But she didn't care. Like I said, she didn't care about helping me, only about being right.

When I complained, she disconnected my chat.

And because of this, I will trash my Xbox One. When the next gen console comes out, I will be using my money on Sony and Nintendo instead. I have renewed my PS Live acct but will not renew my Xbox Live acct.

False Advertising, Poor Service

They discontinued the Kinect and no longer are selling them or supporting them. XBOX ONE X is a hardcore gaming console and not for Kinect activities.

 

Xbox One's Television DVR Feature On Hold!

I am a cord cutter and I use the Xbox one as my media center. Very disappointed in Microsoft for not supporting what they have promised so long. Looks like I will dumping the Xbox and heading over to Nividia Shield or ROKU for Live TV and DVR.
