    I was scammed


    I was just scammed by a person with caller ID as PayPal and they had me buy 6 Xbox gift cards from a grocery store. The store told me that there is nothing that they could do to get my money back. I was able to redeem two cards myself. I also reported this to the FTC.gov website and uploaded the card codes. Only that didn't get my money back. Microsoft does have to of my cards that I redeemed on their site, however on the Xbox site it is almost impossible to get help with their AI bot and the webpage does not have a phone number to call to report or upload the fraudulently redeemed codes. This needs to be changed so that these frauds can get caught by MS. Us users are the victims of poor or the inability to report these crimes so that it is harder for them to do this. I went to Best Buy and they told me that since they are Xbox gift cards you are stuck with Microsoft to redeem them, but once they are redeemed then I believe they are gone with no help from MS to report these crimes. I have learnt that anyone that asks to buy a gift card is a fraud period.

    I’m afraid there is no way to get your items back, but you can report the guy using his Xbox GT.

    Always be cautious when trading!

    You won't get those items back. Most that'll happen is the account gets banned.

    This is why i only do 1:1 trading or 2:2 etc. You take a huge risk trading how you did and it didn't pay off. Really the games trading system could be improved in many ways to help prevent or even stop scamming altogether.

    Even if a user did you wrong it still breaches Xbox's user policy to shout a player out, just letting you know.

    You may want to check what you bought. That game was never made available for purchase digitally so there wouldn't be a code for it.
