    Many Gamertags belong to accounts that have not been active for years. To fix this I suggest Microsoft allow us “The People” to notify them of gamertags we suspect to be inactive and if so free them to the use of others. Additionally, it would be amazing if other languages could be used as gamertags such as words in Arabic, Japanese, or even Kurdish. Along with the use of of special characters such as “æ” or “ø” and dashes/hyphens or even underscores. Finally I feel we should be able to start our gamertag with a number. I really do hope that this is seen and supported as it’s been way to long with the boring gamertag system.

    This Gamertag may be one that is assigned but not used yet, as far as I know getting older Gamertags is not possible unless they are released by Microsoft.

    sorry when an account is banned the name is no longer usable meaning you cannot change another account name to the banned name as it is no longer available.

    Check my post dated August 29th and upvote it so this can be stopped. I was told by the xbox live support they can't even contact the enforcement team after spending 2 and a half hours chatting with them. The Enforcement Team needs to be held more accountable
    and a more fair discussion needs to take place. These generic responses, followed by "decisions upheld" is not appropriate when they are taking away $100's of your merchandise online! If this get's enough notice, i was told xbox live would be forced to address
    the issue. Tell all your friends and upvote to get this ball rolling and this process evaluated and made more fair to the gaming community. We make enough noise, they will have to listen. No one should lose all that expense just because someone's feelings
    got hurt.
