hello i wasnt given a free gamertag change. ive been wanting to change mine but didnt know how and i found out about a free change and was not able to change mine.

You've already used your free gamertag change.

When you first start your account you are given a randomly generated gamertag which you can change to a personal one for free.

If you were charged Microsoft points 7 or 8 years ago then you had already used your free change back then.

You are incorrect. Back then there were NOT any free gamertag changes. I was never given a free gamertag change. All you need to do is check my account and you'll see.

Requesting a Gamertag change

You will not get a free gamertag change from microsoft, I was bullied and harass by other gamers on xbox live. But I paid the 800 points to change my gamertag as i was not given a free gamertag change, now i have a different gamertag the bullying and harassment
has stopped.

so i would say get the 800 points and change your gamertag to something, other gamers cant make comments on.

Free change is only available for the first 30 days of an account if the system gave you randomly generated name. After that, or if you chose your name, you will need to pay to change your name.

thank you but i wasnt notified of this. I was 11 at the time and just clicked make an account and took it from there.would there be any way to give me one reset. i didnt find out about this until just today

You don't get a free gamertag change anymore. People would abuse the free change and create a gamertag that was still offensive. Now you have to pay to change it if you were given a forced gamertag change.
