I was forced to make a new account

I previously had made an xbox live account a few years back when I got my first Xbox 360. About a year I tried to log back in my, which it should have done automatically without needing a password. However, when I tried to log in it said my current email
did now have an account. I only have one microsoft account. I have never made another one. Xbox forced me to create a new account when I already had one. I have tried everything to log into my account. I noticed this happened AFTER I changed my microsoft password
when I got a new laptop which no longer works. Xbox refuses to help me because I "don't know my email". I had put a lot of money into that account and because of micorsoft and xbox i can't get my account back. I am getting very angry, because not only have
I lost my skins, my downloaded games, a lot of money, and my tag, along with any extras I have earned.

How can I get my account back when they won't do anything to help me?

I made the account BEFORE microsoft and xbox teamed up.

Can I retrieve dlc from a different profile?

I download some halo reach limited edtion items on my older profile a while back. However, I lost my password, so when the new xbox live terms came, I couldn't accept them. This forced me to make a new account. Is there any way I can add these items to
my new accounts download history in case I accidentally delete them?

Unfortunately if you can't remember the email address tied to your account, there is not much anyone can do.

 

im sorry to hear this it must not be nice but security of some kind must be applied to accounts otherwise you would be on this forum with thousands of others complaining your account has been exploited by someone else. It makes sense to ask verification
on a account signing in when its been idle for a long period for scenarios such as buying used consoles with previous owners details and account still in the console. credit card could be attached etc. Microsoft have a good system imo all we need to do is
keep track of our login details and its all good
