I was charged for free 'Peggle' game with Xbox Gold

I have used a code for 14-day Xbox Live Gold trial, that I got when I purchased Xbox One. I have successfully downloaded Defence Grid 2 and Custome Quest 2 with this Live Gold membership. When I tried to download the 'Peggle' game it asked for payment options.
I have read that I have to add a payment option in order to download the
free game (link):

However, my paypal account says that I have been charged €9,49 EUR for the game.

I tried purchasing my free xbox live gold game for the month using the games with gold link. I got charged on my credit card for the amount although it said the game was free with gold.

What do I do now?

Microsoft charged my PayPal account for the free game Layers of fear. They charged 22,99€. The game is in the Games with gold banner in my xbox one so i thought i would be for free. Please explain to me what is wrong. I want my money back and still keep
the game!

 

Not sure how you downloaded the other 2 games as you do not qualify for the games with gold with xbox live trials,you have to have a full gold membership which is probably why you were charged for Peggle.

Your best bet would be to contact support
support.xbox.com/.../contact-us as they are the only ones who can help with billing issues.

Nowhere did it say that I do not qualify, as on the code clearly says Xbox Live Gold trial (14 days), which in my vocabulary means exactly that - Live Gold limited to 14 days only.

A trial is not a paid gold membership so you would not qualify for games with gold while using one.Trials only give you access to some xbox live gold features,not all of them so you should not be able to download the free games.

 

I have contacted the support and the support said that, with Gold Live
Trial I actually CAN download the free games, but
ONLY for Xbox Live and not for Xbox 360. That was not stated anywhere, not on my code card, not in FAQ and not in Game Store. In Game store it simply said "free with Gold", which I have (however, limited to 14 days) but still Gold
(which proves it, because I can download the Xbox One games). And besides, the free games are not playable after the 14-day trial ends, so it not like I gained something with these 'free' games.

In any case, I managed to reversed the transaction successfully and resolve the issue.
