I was banned by a toxic person

i was recently com banned for messaging a guy calling him a "retard". I know i should'nt have called him that but he was being racist and toxic in fortnite. He was my duos team mate and i was talking to him. He started calling be a Faggot and the n word
and kept saying **** you when i would get a kill. I do not see why i was com banned after his toxicity. If i stay com banned that would be annoying but i just want the other guy banned too. His account name is " jordyn football"

hey who ever is reading this i would like you to look at my xbox account and to look at my resent ban because the person who banned me was a friend who had there account permed because hes toxic basically he asked me to play duos and I replied

If you haven't done so already, you would need to file a complaint on him via the console in order for the enforcement team to investigate him. Calling out other gamers is not allowed on the forums.

In situations like that, it's best to just report them and block communications rather than respond to them. Otherwise, it doesn't matter how the situation starts. If you respond in a way that violates the code of conduct, you can be banned.

If you responded to a toxic person and broke the terms of service then unfortunately a ban is what happens, in the future don't engage with toxic players, just mute and block them, and if they are being extremely toxic don't forget to report them, just
never respond.

It can take time for the enforcement team to investigate and take actions so not all suspensions are issued immediately. Profanity is probably easier for them to stop right away which is why you already received one.
