I want to transfer a gamertag from one email to another

You cannot transfer an Xbox account from one Microsoft Account to another. So either you will need to create a new Microsoft account and start over or you mom give you hers and she creates a new account if she wants a new one.

If your mom gives you her account you can change the email address to a brand new one.

Damn, thats unfortunate. I could've sworn there was a method on 360 i remembered reading years ago...maybe i misread it or something.

While you cannot transfer you can change your email address in a way transferring. It is a multi-step process and verify everything is working before moving to another step so you do not lock yourself out.

Change the email address or phone number for your Microsoft account

You can use any email address or phone number you've listed as a username to sign in to your Microsoft account. If you want to sign in with a specific one or change the one you're signing in with, here's how:

1. Sign in to Manage how you sign in to Microsoft with your Microsoft
   account. If you’re having issues signing in to your Microsoft account, go to Microsoft account help.

3. If you selected Add a phone number, go to step 5. If you selected Add email, choose whether to add:
   • A new email address. Select Create a new email address and add it as an alias, and then follow the instructions.
   • A non-Microsoft email address (such as an @gmail.com or @yahoo.com email address). Select Add an existing email address as a Microsoft account alias, and then select Add alias.
4. ​​​​​​After you've added the email address, you'll be asked to verify that you're the account owner:
   1. Select Verify next to the new alias. A message is sent to the account for verification.
   2. After you receive the message, select the included link to confirm that you own the account.
5. If you selected Add a phone number, follow these steps:
   1. Select your country from the list.
   2. Enter the phone number you want to use, and then select Next.
   3. When you add a new phone number, we'll send a text message to that number to verify it. Enter the code in the text message, and then select Next.
6. Under Sign-in preferences, select Change sign-in preferences.
7. Either select the check boxes next to the aliases you want to use to sign in, or clear the check boxes for the aliases that you don’t want to use to sign in, and then select Save.

gamertag website. The email I now want to transfer my gamertag to is gamertag free, but when I try to transfer now I get Status code: 8016FE6D.

I'm having the same problem, I want to transfer this gamertag to another email. The only problem is while trying to transfer I accidentally created a gamertag on the email I wanted the gamertag to be transferred to. So I followed the directions on the transfer
gamertag website. The email I now want to transfer my gamertag to is gamertag free, but when I try to transfer now I get Status code: 8016FE6D

Called 1-800-4my-Xbox was told they couldn't escalate my call. So I either had to chose a different email. Or as I was told by the support person my floor support supervisor told me it's really complicated and we can't escalate your issue so just try another
email
