You don't you never could use currency or ms points or gift cards for reoccurring memberships

If you want one time payment you will have to buy prepaid codes

Subscription plans require a reoccurring payment option like a credit card

They will deduct monthly subscriptions till you tell them to stop

This is with all subscription services like wow or psn plus

If you read the terms of use it does mention reoccurring payments for subscriptions

Also when you buy dashboard deals it will say this membership will renew

Btw there is no cancelation period for month to month memberships

If you want not have reoccurring payments you will have to turn off autorenewal and stay prepaid only and avoid dashboard deals as it is part of their terms

You do have the option to cancel autorenewal before the renewal

80190848 is an authorization error - usually is tied to the card not being allowed for online/reoccuring purchases. Those special offers are a subscription which means reoccuring. If that's the case, you might want to check with the financial institution
