I want to replace my Original Xbox One with a One S or an X but i am worried about my Home ...

I own an Original Xbox One and i share my games with a close friend. I recently got a 4k Tv and want to get the most or at least some of that 4k so i was thinking about getting a One S or an X. My concern here is that i dont want to loose any of the
games that we've bought together since we have quite a few. Can someone please explain how can i keep those settings if i am replacing my console??

Which is "My Home" ?

I'm trying to figure out.

1. If my other Xbox One will be used in another gaming room in the house do I make my Xbox One X the My Home console or keep the original as the Home? I will mainly be playing on the X but my son wants to play his games on the original.

Hello, dont worry abut this, there is always a solution to transfer your data to a new console...

Here's how:

1. On your console, sign in to Xbox Live using the gamertag that you used to purchase the content.
2. Go to the Settings and then select Account.
3. Go to Your Billing Options, and then select Licence Transfer.
4. Follow the on-screen instructions to transfer the content licences.

The steps JhonSnow777 describe are for transferring licenses from one Xbox 360 to another, which won't work in your case.

On an Xbox One (OG, S, or X), if you want to play the games that have been purchased, the purchasing account has to make the console it's home console, or the purchasing account has to be logged into the console.

If the games were purchased on your friend's account, your friend will need to make the new console his account's home console, other wise his account will need to be logged in for you to play them.

As long as you use your own account from the old console on the new console, you will have access to your own games.

However, the games your friend shares with your console has to come over, sign in with his own account on your new console, and set it as his new Home Console, so his games are now shared on your new console instead of your old.
