I want to refund a few games, but they are from quite a while ago and wondered if you can...

If you have owned the game for more than 14 days or played it more than 2 hours, then you have no chance of a refund.

I have bought a few games from there. The games are quite a bit cheaper than stores in Australia, but the can take a few weeks to arrive, because they are based in UK. If you're prepared to wait a while, it's a good way to go, but if you want the game now,
go elsewhere.

already found this thread a few months ago and tried every solutions mentionned there. The last message in this thread (from an user) mentions a complete reinstallation of the OS and erasing of the partition, but no further solution from Microsoft as it was apparently "escalated internally" (2019...).

I used the gamepass for a while and this issue seems to occur quite frequently on some games, while other are working fine. Just let me know if this internal escalation didn't end up on anything so that I can just give up on this already and have my refund, I already spent hours on other games to make them work but the gamepass is clearly not working for some people in rare occasions.

Sorry about your problems. While I have not had this happen to me, I have read quite a few threads concerning this. Have you noticed a slight ridge on the edge of your disc? From what I understand alot of the discs have this defect. In any case while you
may not be able to get a refund, Gamestop will replace the disc with a new one. Though from what I read you may have to replace a few of them.
