I want to put old consoles into good use

A lot of people are today switching their XBOX 360 for an XBOX One.

With regard to the environment I would like to put these old consoles into good use. However as you have stopped accepting new users for the XNA program and you (Microsoft) will effectively put an end to the whole program there is no place left for the old
consoles besides trash.

As I find this very wasteful, I wonder if there is any way for me to somehow deploy custom code on old the consoles?

Urgent HDD Transfer help required before Santa gets here

Long story short....broken 360 slim, bought new 360 slim from a friend, want to put old hard drive into new console for the kids tomorrow morning so they can continue with Minecraft.

Pulled the old hard drive out of the old console and plugged it into the new console but the new one doesn't seem to recognize it. Help?

His Gamertag and info will be removed from his old console and put on to the new one. It can be used on both but does have to be transfered back and forth. What I suggest is putting his gamertag onto a thumbstick drive and just plugging it into whatever
console he wants to use. You do not have to buy a family pack.

 

Why not give them to a charity shop or donate them to a childrens home?

 

Or sell them on eBay, or give them to neighborhood kids that don't have a game console. A lot of churches accept electronics for donations then either sell them to raise funds or even donate them as gifts to poor people. Lots of kids get Christmas gifts
this way when their parents are to poor to afford new stuff.

 

Retirement, assestent living, and development centers for special needs adults. Best to donate consoles with digital games as most cannot walk, so keep that in mind should anyone deside to donate their last gen systems,
