  2. nned to transfer account info but cant access old email address

i went to play a game on my xbox 360 and was prompted to verify my account but i stopped using the email address that is attached to my account for so long that it has been deactivated. i cant send the verification email to that address so i attempted to
transfer my to a new account i created with my current email address but it wont let me transfer without verifying the old account which is impossible now since the email address has been deactivated. i simply want to be able to transfer my old info to the
new account i created with my current email so i dont have to lose my friends, gamerscore, etc.

    Xbox Live Account /email issues

I have two different Live accounts. I have this one, and a second one. The problem is that the second is linked to an email address that has been deactivated for about 3 months. So anytime I try to request a password change from THAT account, I GET REDIRECTED
TO THE VERIFICATION PAGE, it sends the password change link to the email address that is deactivated, thus I am unable to reset the password of that second LIVE account, and I am unable to access that second LIVE account.

I need to know how to change that second LIVE account's email address. Keep in mind that I CANNOT verify this second account because it keeps sending all information to that deactivated email account. (so don't give me useless information on how to verify
my account or change my security proofs because I cant change them without logging into that second account, and I cant log into that second account without verifying it first)

For a guide on how to change the email address associated with your Microsoft account please visit

    support.xbox.com/.../change-email-sign-in-for-microsoft-account
. This can be performed directly by visiting
    account.live.com/changeid

If you're still unable to verify the account then you may want to complete an account recovery form You may begin the Account Recovery process by visiting
Recover your account and completing the form found there. The more information you can include in the form, the better the chance you’ll have of regaining access to your account.

Once completing the form you should receive an email within 24 hours. Hopefully this will be a success and will have a link to access your account and change the password.

If you get the successful email then follow the link to change the password and do not enable two-step verification while doing this. Once the password is changed you’re done for now. It takes 30 days to permanently add the new email, at which time you
can remove any old email addresses or phone numbers. During this time you can still access your account, play games, use Xbox live services and make purchases. You will be unable to change security information or verify the account until the waiting period
    is complete.

Alternatively it may decline your request, stating that you didn't provide enough information. If you get this unsuccessful email then call 1-800-4MY-XBOX so we can ask for a manual reset. We will need the 9 digit number from the bottom of the unsuccessful
email and your console ID (Xbox 360) or device ID (Xbox One) in order to request the manual reset.

For more information regarding this please visit

How do I change my primary email from an old, expired one to my current email?

No. I am able to sign into my Xbox live account using the log in info. But the email itself has expired/been deleted a long time ago so I can’t log into the email itself. So when I want to access/change my account info and it asks me to log into my email and find the verification code, I am unable to do so. Again, I know all the info for the old expired email, I just can’t log into for the verification codes because it’s expired

Why am I sent 6 digit code for 4 digit sign in?

I am having the same exact problem. I'm trying to create a new account and Microsoft requires a 4-digit verification code, but is emailing and texting a six-digit verification code. My husband is trying to log-in to his account and having the same problem.

Account Compromised! Microsoft has no resources for me to get it back?

I do not know what email address the hackers have changed the new email to. Can I not provide the email address that the account has been registered to for the past 10 years, and they can track the history to see all the changes were made today?

They logged into my account and changed the email to something they created. I have access to my regular email that the account was created on, and has been linked to for a decade.

Are you saying I need to know the email that the hackers changed it to?
