    I want to file a complaint.


    Microsoft changed my GamerTag that I have had for two years because it violated the code of conduct. That's fine and all, but I would like to change it because they gave me one of the default GamerTags. It is ridiculous for me to be forced to pay the $10
    to change my GamerTag when Microsoft is the one who changed it without even notifying me first.

    I have looked for almost 20 minutes for an email I could send this to, but this forum seems to be the closest thing to customer service I can find.

    Basically, Microsoft customer service is absolute garbage, and I do not want to pay $10 to change a name that was changed against my will in the first place.

    It is against the forum rules to post another's gamertag on the forums. You need to file a complaint through the dashboard and block communications. You could also send the information to the Enforcement team, in the support section of the boards.

    You can try submitting a case review at
    http://enforcement.xbox.com     but if they uphold their decision, you will have to pay if you want to change your tag. That policy is per the code of conduct you agreed to.

    You're going to want to file a complaint on them. Go to their profile and you'll see an option to do so. Enforcement staff will look into it after you've done that. More info on how to file a complaint:

    What is it with people these days that whenever something happens against them that they don't agree with they have to somehow vent and rage, or in this case take a company to court?

    You have no idea what the ban was for, it could be something that you did weeks and weeks ago, it more than likely has nothing to do with you filing the complaint.

    But ye, if you really must take Microsoft to court, go ahead, let us all know how it goes, because for some reason I doubt there is a lawyer in the county that will touch it.

    Just want to add it does no use to file more then one complaint on a player. Once one is received the system ignores the second+ complaint filed.
