I want to change the Microsoft ID related to my Xbox Live profile

I have read the article on the support website which describe the way to do it, but when I do that on my xbox, it says "Impossible to change to that ID for now"

Is it because the new email adress is just 2 days old ?

Can I give my microsoft points to an other profile ?

And if I change my hotmail id to the profile where I want my microsoft points, I read that the microsoft pionts go to that account if you change your hotmail id

 

Deleting permanently an XBOX Live Account

Hi, I want to know if there is a way to delete an XBOX Live Account but maintaining the Microsoft Live ID and the related email and other data. I just want to delete the XBOX Live Account related to a Windows Live ID.Thanks for the response.

No, that shouldn't be what is causing the issue. Please check out the following page which lists all the conditions that need to be met on both the target Microsoft Account and the current Microsoft Account.

So long as you meet all those conditions, you should have no trouble completing the transition. However, it is important to note that if you are met with the following error message "Sorry, we can't change your Microsoft account right now." then this could
be down to the fact that you have downloaded your gamertag from Xbox LIVE to a console / device in the last 30 days. In which case you would simply need to wait for the 30 days to pass before trying again. Does that sound like it could be the problem?

Thanks for the complete response

The new address is newly created and absolutely unused for anything except onedrive (free account) atm so it can't be the problem.

I have in mind that the current profile could be the cause, but I don't remember to have downloaded it in the last 30 days ... It's the only 360 I play on, and except on the Smartglass app I'm not logged on any other device. I bought a game yesterday and
it was the only manipulation so far.

If you meet the conditions for the target account then it must be the current account. I would personally wait for 30 days to pass before trying again, you should be able to make the move after that. If not then it might be worth while getting in touch with
phone support.
