I want to buy a genuine Xbox 360 wired controller

Because the price is lower and a wireless one (or Xbox One) is way beyong my league.

Thing is this product is somewhat rare in my country at the moment. So there are many "fake" ones around. Well made copies for the same price. I can't afford to buy a "parallel" controller for the same price I'd buy an original one. That'd be depressing.

What can be done to check and be sure the controller is genuine? I have found some videos about the wireless one, but nothing about wired ones.

Actually, if I could only ask for further help, my question would be what are my options. If it's really possible to buy a third party controller that's actually better and cheaper than Microsoft's, I'd like to know what is it. My main problem is with the sticks that start "moving by thtemselves".

I would appreciate a controller that I could use without this kind of inconvenience.

if you look after your tech and don't throw them around you can find Xbox one third party controller that are good and don't break as easy, my youngest has one that he uses, that gets thrown about banged, handled rough and works a charm no stick drift where as the Xbox one controllers fell apart and got severe stick drift, i got fed up of fixing them or replacing, got a third party one and its lasted longer.

also third party ones new still have a warranty for peace of mind.

You're welcome Vitia, So, my advice for you is to look for owners of the 360 consoles that are selling their consoles or controllers, because, in the market today, you will face a really hard time to find an original 360 wired controller. :/
