I want the 40% off gold deal but its not showing up on my dashboard like it is my husbands

I posted here because thats what they told me to do last night. They said somebody will contact me. I called earlier today and they connected me to the uk...omg, the rep said I had to hang up and call back. It was a big enough headache trying to get someone
to help me and the being on hold is awful. They tried tellin me theres no promotion but im lookin at it right now.. it says New Years resolution have more fun 40% off gold subscription. My gold runs out this Sunday so I hope they get back to me soon. Thanks

I've had an Xbox 360 and a gold account for a few months now. I remember, way back when, having the "update to gold" tile on the home dashboard, obviously when I didn't have gold. However, now with my gold account, the gold tile has gone missing for a long
time now. I expected it to sort itself out and eventually show up so I waited a couple of months, however, it has not. My husband also has a 360 (Gold membership) so that we game online together in the same room. Our home dashboards are different and his
gold tile shows up fine. The place the gold tile is on his box is where Zootopia is showing up on mine. I have also checked in the "browse games" section of the "games" header - still no gold tile.

I have scoured forms & have done as suggested such as removing the updates and then re-installing them again. I have also removed my flash stick that contains my profile (signed out but dashboard stayed the same) put it in my husband's box and signed in,
but the dashboard there doesn't have it either. I then put my profile/stick back in my box and signed in, no change. I moved my profile to the hard drive on my xbox, no difference, and then moved it back to the stick. Nothing has changed or helped. While I
know I can still access the gold games on xbox.com, it's still a problem that should be addressed for a paying customer. It is also highly inconvenient and especially bothersome (especially when my husband has it so easily. )

Unfortunately, it looks like one of two things happened here. First, the Gold – 40% off 12 Months service(s) up for renewal looks to me like a deal you received when signing up for your last year of Gold. Such deals are not renewable, so although it still
reads as Gold – 40% off 12 Months service(s), it won't renew at that special price. Second, anytime a deal is offered as a limited time event, there is no way to get access to the deal after the time limit expires, no matter how good the excuse. Sorry mate!

Good advice. I got a great deal for gold last renewal too. It showed up on my dashboard and even though I usually ignore everything on it, I just happened to see it.
