I want my xbox 360 account back, HELP!

The day I sold my Xbox 360 to Gamestop was the worst day of my life, and i've tried to get back into my account.

With a little bit of digging (watching my old minecraft xbox 360 gameplay videos lol) i figured out my username was "colem5"

I remember when I made this account I entered the wrong email, but I dont think the xbox ever checked if the email was valid, and it let me make the account anyway.

So I tried to sign in by username, and I know what my password is, so I type it in.. and it tells me that the account is locked because of "too many attempts" (i only tried once!) doing a password reset brings me to a screen saying "send code to (some random email)@aim.com" .. someone must have changed the email when they bought the xbox.. i don't use aim, i use gmail..

I tried the account recovery thing, no luck.. someone help! my whole childhood is basically on there!

The only way to recover an account is through the account recovery form. I recommend reading this thread for instructions and tips when completing the form.

May I ask when was the last time you signed in to your account? As depending on when you last used this account, it may have been deleted due to inactivity. Although if it was, it would say the something like “account no longer exists” when attempting to sign in. As you’re unable to access or verify the account information, I would consider all possibilities.

As of August 2019, accounts that have been inactive for at least two years will be deleted. So if your account hasn’t been in use since August 2017, or at least two years ago, this could be why.

There are some exemptions to the inactive account deletion rule where your account will remain active if one or more of these apply to your account.

It would be best to contact support, who will be able to confirm the account status and help you get back into the account, if possible.

I would agree with your statement. My son's situation is simply an email that no longer exists. MS support continued to tell us to submit the online form, which we did, and then we get an email that says the account is blocked permenantly due to too many
forms being submitted... That is the customer service I am hacked off about.

Ms Kim, sorry but you are way out of touch with reality. The Support that MS gives sucks.... Not to say that many things couldnt be avoided by people doing things proactively but stuff happens. MS should at least give some sort of service to resolve this
issues. to put it in another light: If your driving down the road and cause an accident you would want your insurance company to resolve any issues with fixing your car, right? What if they give you the run around and simply say: "You could have hit your
brakes sooner and avoided the accident." I would think, and rightfully so, that you would be pissed that they gave you crappy service. Customer Service is all about resolving issues not trying to tie the blame to anyone. Just my 2 cents.

When you say "fake email" do you mean a non-existent one? Have you ever accessed this email address at any point in the past?
