In that case I would suggest you wait, unless you could find time to play the Xbox One because the last thing someone would want is to spend a lot of money on a console and to never play it.

I want to buy the Xbox One but I am afraid that.....

    @Lofty Who

If I could afford both then I too would get both but that's not going to happen. I have no trouble with anyone getting excited about the XB1, PS4 or whatever but that does not stop me from writing posts that are critical of Microsoft. This is not because
I want to start an argument or be negative for the sake of it, but because I have loved the original Xbox and the 360 and I am really worried about the future of the brand because of what is happening with the XB1, and one of those worries is the same as the
OP, i.e. there may be relatively few gamers on the XB1 compared to the PS4, especially on UK servers thanks to the ridiculously high XB1 price here. One of the things I am most looking forward to in the next generation is 64 player Battlefield 4. Am I absolutely
confident that I will consistently get this on the XB1 in the first 6 months of its life? No, I am not. I really hope that my worries turn out to be unfounded and that the XB1 thrives, but you can hardly blame anyone for having their doubts. This is not being
negative for the sake of it, it is simply being honest about an anxiety that I have concerning the XB1 and I suspect many other posters are writing with the same motivation.

...and part of what bugs me about the future talk is that if, worse comes to worse and the console has even a relative flop, it might slow down, limit or in some cases even prevent these future innovations. .

[/quote]Wow, that is a great point that I havent thought of. What damage will it do to these future prospects should it fail? What will that do with peoples opinion? Will they want it to fail more now? Or less? Good point.

  4. I want an Xbox One but...

I think I want to wait. Problem is, every damn time I go to Best Buy, I don't want to leave without an X1. I want an Xbox One but... :D It calls to me. I swear I can hear "Jason KCK GET OVER HERE!!!!" in a Mortal Kombat voice.

I didn't have this issue when going from Xbox to 360. Probably because the 360 is BC so the transition was easier.

Sounds like you may be an impulse buyer..... you have money burning a hole in your pocket. Buy it if you feel you must, just don't start a thread a week from now "I should of waited to buy my X1"..

It seems most consumers have lost touch with reality.....

I'm not one of those kinds of people bro. This is a legitimate post asking for opinions, not a troll post. As for my money, I work hard for that. I don't agree, but still respect and thanks.

  7. Wow, a thread where people are actually giving good advice and personal input without trolling each other? That's rare nowadays - Jason, you are lucky. Good luck on your decision, whatever you decide. I want an Xbox One but... ;)

^ I have both a X1 and a 360. You will find that you will be shuffling to and from both consoles.....

Personally I don't think you can wrong with a X1 right now. Buy one and ignore the pricing that may follow

  11. I'm sat playing my 360 despite having a xbox one and ps4 next to it.

Love the x1 but wouldn't get rid of my 360 just yet.

  12. I'm not getting rid of my Xbox 360 any time soon either, but I'm 1 of those who doesn't play it much anymore except to try out new arcade games and to pick up the free Games with Gold promotion every month. Otherwise, I'm almost exclusively on the One.

I want an Xbox One but...

I find nothing wrong with having multiple systems. I currently have the 360, X1, and a gaming pc. It's great in the fact that I have a lot more to choose from. There is a lot that currently out on the X1. Games like red dead redemption and IL2 Sturmovik,
which I still play a lot. At the same time I want to play forza 5 and Ryse son of rome. Both of which are unavailable on the older system. Also I feel as though I'm cheating myself if I buy games like Assassins creed 4 or Battlefield 4 on the 360 as I would
be missing the feature that the next gen system has to offer. I also have to have a gaming pc for one simple reason. Strategy games. I could not live without my Total war, company of heroes, and Sins of a solar empire. So in my opinion, having multiple systems
is if great benefit to any gamer.

"I still have like 30+ games I have to play on 360. That is the only reason I have not yet upgraded, I can't invest in something new when I'm still paying and playing the old. I know that probably sounds a bit strange. I could just have both, but like I
said I'm still buying games for the 360. Besides I literally have thousands of dollars invested in games and DLC on the 360. IDK maybe I'm indecisive. If anyone actually replies to this I would love to hear your thoughts. Should I buy now, or later?" ...

If your happy with the 360, still getting enjoyment and nothing really on Xbox One makes you feel you want to upgrade now then just wait.

Carry on enjoying your 360, if at a later date you decide to go for an XB1 then no doubt the games library will be a lot bigger and who knows, maybe it might be even cheaper still.
